The CP 5621 you mentioned is for PCIe, a follow up for PCI as Desktop of Tower PC Interface. Express Card is the follow up for PC-Card or better to say Cardbus Interfaces. I am going to by new laptop with ExpresCard slot and I wont to use CP5512 with S7-300 and so on. I am satisfied with CP5512 and it woud be big loss for me to throw it away. JustMe Posts: 7 Rating: (2)	Hi OK2PPP, The DUEL adapter worksOK with the CP5512. I'm using it for more than a year. A few things: The cable, connected to the Express card is big and heavy. Make sure you dont place your laptop on a small table (we all do...). If the adapter falls off wile it's inserted, it can destroy the mechanical connection to the E. card. During communication do NOT remove the Express card. It will bring you the nice blue windows screen with only one solution.... restart. For the rest it's working perfect. You'll have all the advantages of the CP5512! Regards

I have also bought the dual adpater but regarding to other users if have not been able to get the card working. i contacted Dual systems and they just came with the argument that their adapter is not compatible because of WinXp/cardslot is 32 bits and their adapter/software is 16bits and thusit''s a known problem. They told me that a new driver would fix the problem but for the last 2 years no new drivers ar placed on their site. For now i have to use an USB adapter andstore my CP card (and that's a pitty) Richard

Just because if the Adaptor is only a 16 bit Adaptor I am a bit astonished that some other users seem to have the Cardbus Adaptor CP 5512 running with this Adaptor type. I hope you agree with me if I say that a 32 bit card will not run in an 16 bit slot. So I would like to see this stuff running... even if the manufacturer says it will not work... well.. Fascinating. Stay Calm.

OK2PPP Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I have just bought a Notebook HP Compaq 6730b (it has serial port RS232C; OS XP Professional SP3) and DuelAdapter. It works with CP5512 properly (CP5512 (PPI) with MicroWin and S7-200 so far). Only one problem is, that I have to insert DuelAdapter with the CP5512 after switch-on of the Notebook. When I switch-on Laptop with DuelAdapter inserted, CP5512 is not activated. I am going to test this configuration with WinCC Flexible and TP177B panel next week. I have problem with an WinCC Flexible installation (SQL Server installation failed). V.Slovak Thevia company Czech Rep.

OK2PPP Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have problem with MPI a DP protocol; CP5512 + DuelAdapter + HP 6730b does'nt work with panel TP170B Mono. I am going to try connection again, but just now I have a lot of work. There is not problem with S7-200 (CPU226) and protocol PPI. V.Slovak Czech Rep.
