HW Support file for 6ES7 241-1CH32-0XB0

Hello all,

I can not find the HW support package for the module 6ES7 241-1CH32-0XB0., I'm using TIA V12 SP1 Update 4.

Yes, I have locked inside this support package but is not there:

I have V12 SP1 Update 4 installed, but the module is not within the cataloge, see picture.

Anyone that got any ideas ? Does V13 got this moudle in the HW cataloge ?

This is ridiculous, we have an old module that got replaced with a newer version! A module that got released in october 13 and it seams it is impossible to get that module to work with V12 of TIA!!!

Do I really need to buy V13 to get this to work ?

Anyone from SIEMENS!! PLEASE ANSWER!!!

Spare Parts Compatibility

The innovated signal modules (6ES7 2xx-xxx32-0XB0) replace the previous signal modules(6ES7 2xx-xxx30-0XB0) and are spare-parts-compatible with them. The revised modules can be used without changes in place of the previous signal modules.

Software Requirements

• To utilize the full functionality of the innovated signal modules, the respective module needs to be configured using its new order number. If necessary, the corresponding hardware support package must be used for this. The appropriate procedure is outlined in the article "How do you update the hardware catalog in STEP 7 (TIA Portal)?" 54163658
• The upload of a module configuration from the device configuration editor will not recognize the innovated signal modules. They have to be manually integrated into your project. If necessary, drag the signal modules from the hardware catalog and drop them into the device configuration.

In short, you can configure the older module and insert the new one, the module should work but only without any new features.
