Also have preformed Ohm Checking on the 6SN1123 via. fax from Siemens again OK. Machine is still giving me an error "Servo not ready". Any help would be great!!!! |

Hello dvfcorp, You indicate that have a message "servo not ready" somewhere. If this is an NC alarm, the NC generates an error code. If this is a PLC alarm, this is usually dependent upon the status of contacts available on X111 on the I/R Module (i.e., 6SN1145); however, "servo not ready" could be axis dependent as well which means it may point to an output on one of the 6SN1123... power sections and associated control plug-in units (i.e., 6SN1118...). If you still have a GREEN light on the I/R Module anda YELLOW light on, you are missing enable signal inputs from your controller to pins such as 63, 64, 48, 112 and 9 on the I/R Module. If you have a specific axis with issues, then you're probably missing enable signal inputs from your controller to pins such as 663, 65 and 9 on the plug-in controller board. Check your ribbon cables and make sure that your other connections are good. Make sure you have a YELLOW light for your I/R Module (mains ON). Hope this helps... |

Yes it is a NC message, as far as the indicator lights on Simo drive at first power up we have green light on. When we lift the E-Stop the green light goes out and we never see a yellow light. Another Question- Upon installation on the new 6SN1145 should we have installed any software??? If so how? & Where could I find It? Thanks in advance!! |

Dear Sir Please check if enable signals are present @ terminals 48, 63 & 64. these must all be present for full enable condition of the E/R module. Is the machine fitted with 840C or 840D? Please tell us exactly what is displayed on the controller, are there any message codes? If you have 840D, what is the condition of the NCU? (Next to the E/R module) Are there any fault indications on the regulator cards? (6SN1118...) Regards SteveJ |

Hello dvfcorp, Since you have no YELLOW LED on the I/R Moudle (i.e., 6SN1145...), you are missing your primary power input to the drive. Check to find out where you're missing your three-phase power. It could be that you lost your line fuses There is no software for the 6SN1145... Hope this helps... |

Hello dvfcorp, Apparently your YELLOW LED on the I/R Module is not ON; therefore, you are missing your primary power (i.e., mains). You indicate that your enables are okay. Make sure that you have NS1 and NS2 on X171 need to be closed. If you have three phase power on the input to the I/R Module, then you probably have blown an internal fuse in the I/R Module. If this is the case, you need to replace the I/R Module. Hope this helps... |
