Hello I am new user of PLC, my problem is i can't able to make continous pulse on my step 7 software with adjustable duty cycle. Please inform me what is the best approach?

Hello Rayhan, what kind of pulse are you talking about, single pulse or clock? what is time rangeof pulse? Its a big difference if you need clock pulse in ms or in some seconds... regards |

To add some new point to our friend Jens_app: To save extra timers, for pulse generation,I suggest using clock of CPU and just count the values.The whole scenario will be 16 seconds and reset when counter reach this point.Compare the count value and generate outputs (high=pulse) or (low=pause).

I completely agree with huggy, there are many different approaches and by using the CPU clock you will save timers and memory. I've took the liberty to quickly write a program according to the hints our expert huggy gave us. This piece of code uses the CPU clock pulse and an integer that holds the amount of time a pulse is activated or deactivated. Pulse on -and off time can be adjusted. |
