The changeconnection function does not support the S7-1500 PLC - these use a different communication method to the 300/400 range.

There is a workaround that involves fooling the HMI into thinking the connected PLC is a S7-300/400. Check out this thread for details:

I add also that it is important to check :

1) If you have HMI check in Wincc that all the tags will use the new link, otherwise you will have one billion of alarms during compiling.

2) In network view check the "relations" and see if the cyan connection path are ok and not presenting any anomaly
