I/O Device not Found

I'm sorry for the overposting but it's my first time comissioning a project and I'm totally alone in CHINA! haha Anyways I was able to dowload my program to the CPU, but for some reason I'm getting the error that the I/Os devices are not being found! I checked the hardware and everything seems fine. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks SO much for the help! You guys are being life savers of my newly engineering career! Best regards.

royalmaster Experienced Member Joined: 8/21/2017 Last visit: 7/5/2022 Posts: 75 Rating: (0)	TIA Portal V14 I'm using a profinet cable The error says: I/O Device failure - I/O device not found On the module state(accessed directly from the CPU's display) it says: "CPU maintenance required: Time syncronization failure: No time synchronization with time master IC1GC01-K22/Current CPU operating mode: STOP" "IC1GC01-K22 CPU status message: CPU not in RUN current CPU operating mode: STOP" (I don't know if it's related tho, just putting it here) Plus I can ping the CPU's two profinets inputs but not the modules it says it's not it's not reachable

Doesn't matter at the beginning of commissioning, but should be solved before you leave Regards, Frink

0_Einstein Diamond Member Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 15402 Rating: (2444)	Let's for the moment assume you are commissioning something other than simple local and remote I/O and have a somewhat complicated profinet configuration. Did you edit the topology in the portal project topology view? If you did, save your project using "Save As", and rename it to: "ExistingProjectName-NoTopo" Now edit this new project and delete the topology links. Download the hardware configuration to your PLC again. As per prior poster, the NTP thing, temp disable the NTP from the plc hardware configuration and download the hardware configuration to the PLC. With any topo links and NTP configuration removed, what errors appear in the diagnostics buffer now? Also, post a screenshot of the hardware configuration. If you are using non-default IRT/RT settings, reset them all to default temporarily (using the save as "ExistingProjectName-NoIRT-RT" (as an example) and download the hardware config. FYI, in case you are not aware, the toolbar menu icon to download only performs a hardware download the very first time you download to a PLC. After that, it is software only (as far as I've seen). Use this technique any time you change hardware configuration and you never have to worry about that download icon: Right-click on your project PLC -> download hardware Please post results. royalmaster Hello everyone!
