if am assigning one memory under retentive memory, will it be saving to memory card every time (in each scan ) or what ?

The retentive memory area is used to store the values of selected user memory locations during power loss. When a power down occurs, the CPU has enough hold-up time to retain the values of a limited number of specified locations. These retentive values are then restored upon power up. MMC will only be used to store Retenvive Memory if card is used as Program Card. Regards, Marcjan

Is retentive memory area is inside memory card or inside cpu itself ?? Am talking about mmc type cpu(300 series) Because, if it is inside memory card, the value will write to memory card in each scan, it will cause problem ?? regards Vipz

Sorry, you posted in the 1200 section so answer was related to the 1200 series. The memory concept is a bit different, you don''t need a MMC in a 1200 to run. A 300 won''t run without MMC, but one thing is the same retentive area is only written at powerdown and read and loaded again at power up. Hope it''s clear now. Regards, Marcjan

But still one more, iff power is gone, i think there will be some arrangement to retain memory atleast for some time. Then only it can be write in to MMC, right ?? thanks and regards Vipz
