Hello, I have similar questions to as the original post, and I don't think that their questions has been answered here yet. My setup is having 2 devices connected and communicating with modbus RS485 to the IoT2050:
However, when I connect with "pymodbus pymodbus.console serial --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --method "rtu" etc." I seem to communicate Device B, which is connected on the USB port, which doesnt make sense to me as I thought the "/dev/ttyUSB0" should be the X30 port, which Device B that device is not connected. If I try connecting to /dev/ttyUSB1 i don't get any response. How is this possible? Is there any issues having two different devices connected on different ports and communicating on RS485 at the same time? Is the names /dev/ttyUSB0/1/2 and the ports they are linked to customizable and somehow my /dev/ttyUSB0 is not linked to the X30 port, but the USB port instead? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
