Hello Ramovsky; Short answer: yes, there are some constraints on using S7-Graph with that level of CPU. I have done Graph programs on the CPU 315-2DP, and it could handle it up to a certain number of steps/transitions (about 100 in my case); the memory requirements of S7-Graph can become overwhelming above this. Here are a few documents that you can study to help you decide for yourself if you can use S7-Graph with this particular CPU: How large is the memory requirement of an S7-GRAPH program?http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6460824 Note: use the formulas available in this document to estimate the memory requirements of the S7-Graph program based on the number of step/transitions. remember to keep space for the rest of your program (I forgot once... ;-( ) Restrictions on use of S7-Graph for CPUs 314 and 315 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/8928514 Note: for the purposes of this exercise, you can consider the IM 151-7 CPU to be roughly equivalent to the CPU 315 in this FAQ; see the attachment I extracted from the following manual: Technical information, IM 151-7 CPU: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26092554 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
