Hello , As far as I know there is no internal register in PLC to read online temperature of the module.The solutions is to maintain the temperature at reasonable level by means of "temperature switches" and fans (or other ventilation system depends on the ambient temperature) with failure detection options. But even there is not so useful to read out. As Hamid mentioned the idea is to prevent working in a higher ambient temerature. Or in places you need to work under 'worst' condition there is a special Siemens serie - SIPLUS Extreme. Search for it here. You will find what are the differences. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

For what you say does not exist, so I thought, but the problem is that the temperature needed to if they exceeded a certain value to indicate to the user that this was so and could do anything, it's a good idea thermocouple . a greeting.

Let's assume somehow on HMI you detected the temparture is more then max. allowed according specification of PLC. What you will make - to take a external fan will go to cooling it or what? The idea is not to measure to prevent going high the temperature. For that reason all big manufacturers of electrcal cabins have in their portfolios special air conditioners...And according to the sizes of the cabin they have more or lesspowerfull air conditioner/or fans. Siemens relesed a SIPLUS serie and there the allowed abient conditions are extended.... I am afraid this is the right way in industry...all the other ways are just for training. What if you have fire inside the panel? What if installed air conditioner fails? What if fan fails? There can be many reasons for rise in temperatur inside the panel. And installing thermostats which can provide DI can prove to be very benefecial, I believe. A usefullink.

If heaven is falling down, all birds are dead. I NEVER heard, that somebody make an PLC temperature measurement because he was afraid of fire in the cubicle... It sounds a little bit like a joke for me...
