I have a similar issue. I think his question is whether a CP is necessary for redundancy. For a 315-2DP, the CPUs can be linked via the MPI port while the PROFIBUS connects the CPU to the ET200m station. In that case a CP would not be necessary. The example in the CD does not link the stations using an MPI but links them to the HMI station. I believe that is why A CP card was used. This then brings me to my problem. There is a parameter called LADDR in the FC 100 which refers to the base address of the CP. This suggests that a CP is compulsor which contradicts my initial thoughts so I am bit confused TO establish redundancy Is the following hardware enough 2 CPU 315-2DP and 2 IM 153-2 stations. If it is enough what will be inputted into the LADDR parameter in FC 100 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Yes its is and you use the "XSend_300" library if you use the MPI port for the redundancy link as per attached manual extract pic
Sorry, don't have the SWR library handy at the moment and can't confirm, but from memory, LADDR as well as VERB_ID are being ignored (likewise, MPI_ADR is ignored if you use a CP and have a configured connection) |
