Is it possible to determine the name of the tag set in the tag interface? for example if my faceplate has a tag interface with the name "Tag_Interface_1" and is PLCUDT type udtMyUDT and is set to dbMyDatablock.MyUDTInstance1 Inside the faceplate, can i get the name of tag assigned to "Tag_Interface_1"? I'd like to be able to get a string "dbMyDatablock.MyUDTInstance1" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi MikeMarofsky, You can do this as in the 1st example in the 'FaceplateType.Properties' or 'FaceplateContainer.Properties' chapter of the system manual. In my test case I got the same result. But note that you get not only the simple tag name, but also the name of the HMI Runtime. This is to ensure unique names. Your result will look like 'HMI_RT_1::TagName'. However, you will only get the name of the HMI Tag. It is not possible to get the PLC Tag name that may be associated with the HMI Tag. Kind regards |
