IW or PIW?

And here is my case, i have analog inputs with address of 272 for example. My first question should i address it as PIW272 or IW272? This also applies for analog output. What is the rule governing process image? If you can lead me to a FAQ that discribes this matter, i will be more than greatfull. Thank you in advance. Tomy

You can write IW as long as the address lies inside the process image. For example this CPU can address 1Kbyte so you can write PIW512 but its process image is limited to 128 byte which means you can't write IW512but you can still write up to IW127. Best regards. H-H
