Dob Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	Hi If i password protect some blocks - (know how protection),how easy can they be hacked or alternativly password removed by Siemens? Thanks. P.S. The reason i ask this question is that i have very good reason to beleive that one of my customers somehow got access to the program and copied it.

But.. the fact that you think... that you have a "unique program" ,makes me... If I go online with my PLC using the online access, I recover everything except the comments at the module, network, and node level. If I enable and use web access and happen to know a tag name, I can look at the status or value of that tag name. In the S7-1200 TIA Portal world, you get tag (variable) names, but no comments. This is not true of the S7 non-TIA Portal side of Siemens. In that world, Gorp is 100% correct!

Well,agree with you,but at the same time it doesn't look too ethical on customer's sideto reuse/copy without asking as a minimum..... .
