Licence not working in COMOS 10.3

Hello Dear,

In the COMOS-Documentation I saw that it is mandatory to install a driver, to use the USB-Dongle which is not a plug and play device.

Did you installed that driver? If not, please do so, otherwise the operating system and COMOS cannot find and use the Dongle.

In case you need further help, can you please open a ticket at Siemens? I am sure that they will be glad to help you.

Here  you see how to do that.

Attaching a copy of the affected license file will surely help, will avoid questions coming back from that Helpdesk to you.

I guess that the reason for that error message is one of the following:

~~> you have not entered the PC-Name of your comoslicenseserver into the ComosLicenseLib.config file of the client. There you see the "ComosLicenseServer", but your CLS is surely not called like that, but i.e. XYZ4711.

~~> In case you have entered the PC-Name of your CLS into the config at the client side, which is in the "Config" directory of the installation path of COMOS 10.3.3 like usual, please double check if you have an error in the spelling of that name, maybe a character is wrong or missing...

~~> Please ping your CLS-Name from the client: if it does not respond, it could be that the name resolution for that is not working.

You or your local admin may solve the resolution issue, or your can enter the IP-Address of your CLS into the Config at the client side, instead of the CLS-Name, which is possible and allowed.

~~> It also could be that the HTTP communication is not working there, please check that also, maybe with your IT-Dept.

~~> Of course, the traffic light of the CLS must be green, the Dongle must be connected (also all the time), the network connection must work between the CLS and the client, the license file must have the same ID as the Dongle...

In case you still have difficulties, I suggest to open a ticket at the helpdesk of COMOS. It would be great if you add a log file recorded with the DebugView at the client side, also a copy of the "Data" directory of your CLS.

It would be great to get a short feedback how you have solved this challenge here.
