Login popup screen on wincc without using system default function

As of now (V19 Update 2), it is not possible to use the full functionality of the system. With V19 Update 2, a new system function SetLocalUser has been introduced (see the readme for this version), but it does not ask for a password and therefore does not meet your requirements.

I know there is a solution using a Python script to access the user management internally. But I cannot remember where I found it, and I would not recommend using it since such unofficial solutions may be disabled without notice in a future update.

The feature you are requesting is one of the missing features that will hopefully be included in a future release. In the context of WinCC Unified it is therefore worthwhile to keep the system up to date. Not only because of the increased functionality, but also because of the increased performance and stability. The Siemens engineers still have some way to go.
