Logo! and "foreign" HMI

For this we must know what the IDEC can.

Some device with the S7 protocol don't use any variables of the LOGO!, e.g. Vx variables. Instead they a DB1 address.

So for correct help I need to know what the IDEC HMI variables use and what data formats.

Normally the LOGO! communicate with S7 compatible devices via the VM area. The VM area is special memory for data exchange.

This is
- Vx.x for a bool.
- VBx for a byte.
- VWx for a word.
- VDx for a double word.

Some S7 compatible devices (like your HMI) don't know the V-variables. They can use the DB1.

Example:
V0.0 = DB1.DBX0.0
VB1 = DB1.DBB1
VW2 = DB1.DBW2
VD4 = DB1.DBD4

If you want to make a connection in the LOGO!, then right mouse click on the entry "Ethernet connection". Then can you select If the LOGO! is client (client connection) or if the LOGO! is server (server connection).
