Hi, you are right. In LSC V8 there is nothing in Tool to set the interface. This you can select if you press up/download. In this dialig select LOGO! Cable on Top left and the COM-Port on Top right. Do you have an original LSC V8 DVD? Here the USB driver for Win64 OP is included. If you just install an older verison of LSC and then Update to V8 the USB driver may not be updated and you need to do it in addition. The USB driver you can find here. By the way a USB-Serial converter has created lots of problems in the past. In th eLOGO! Forum you can find lots of plogs. So I recommend to not use such converters. I personally use a USB-Ethernt converter together with LOGO! 7 and 8 and it works. But I don't use a USB-Serial one. NOTE: Please be sure to have the same LOGO! selected in your LSC programm you want to download the program. If this is not the same, then you will get an error message anyway. Hope this helps |

Hi, I have a Laptop with Win7 (64) and LSC V8 installed. The LOGO! RS232 cable is connected to my PC at a RS232 interface. In my case it is COM1. NOTE: On a PC by default the RS232 Interface is COM1 or COM2. I select this in the Interface dialog and press Test button everything works well. I'm also able to upload and download from/to LOGO! 6. See pictures! Then I also tested a USB programming cable. Also everything is fine and I can Up/Download to LOGO! 6 with both LOGO! Programming cables. Summary: Please note I have no converter between the cables and my PC. But my Laptop is plugged into a docking station. Hope this helps AttachmentLOGO! cables.zip (1666 Downloads) |
