LOGO! CIM - VPN (SGLAN) via mobile communications using the example of a simulated pumped storage power plantThe focus in this example is on the communication between two LOGO! - CIM (Communication Interface Module) in a VPN, over a provider's mobile network. LOGO! CIM offers you a solution for connecting LOGO! BM (Basic Modules) over the Internet, whereby a so-called SGLAN (Secured Global Local Area Network) is set up and used as a VPN tunnel over the mobile network. Specifically, two LOGO! CIM modules each with an internal SIM card are used, with LOGO! CIM is configured (A) as an SGLAN client and (B) as an SGLAN server. In the application example, both LOGO! are part of a simulation for a pumped storage power plant. The pumped storage power plant provides electrical power (= energy per unit of time), if the regional energy demand is high. If more energy is available than the local energy requirement, water is pumped into an 100m higher reservoir and is available there as potential energy. LOGO! (A) controls the functions of the high reservoir and LOGO! (B) the functions of the control center of the lower reservoir. |
