Memory calculation for CPU-315 2PN/DP

I am using CPU315-2PN/DP CPU, with 128 K memory I have an S7-400 program which is having 1MB flash memory, Now I would need to make a similar program and in S7300, would anyone let me know if I can claculate how much memory I would need by looking at that program?

Sydney Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2008 Last visit: 9/26/2024 Posts: 703 Rating: (96)	Hello, the newest CPU 315-2PN/DP has 256 kB of work memory, but maybe you have the previous module with 128 kB.You can get the supposing amount of theworkmemory which is needed for the code and data in the Simatic manager, rightclick on the Blocks folder, choose the Object Properties and then in the tab Blocks you'll see the user program memory. Because in S7-400 is separate memory for code and data, you need the total amount. Regards Sydney

Arunakat1 Posts: 217 Rating: (52)	Hello, After you finished your program. Select block folder and press alter+enter then you will go to "properties block folder offline". Then go to block tab and you can see user program memory in detail. So you can know, memory you are used with out downloading it to CPU. See the attachment. Best regards. I didn’t read your post completely at once but I saw it after I post my answer that’s why I edit it and say, “it is the same way” as you said.(Every one make mistakes) Why I’m not agreeing 100% with you is, there was no feed back from who make the issue so we can suspect it is still unclear for him so we can give him more details. Until he says the problem was solved, we can write for the issue. Ultimately we should remember forum is for support people with our experience, who were in trouble. May be from one word. SOMEBODY TOLD ME THAT WITH THE 400 PLC IT IS POSSIBLECALCULATE THE MEMORY IN RELATION WITH THE I/O'S AND OTHER DEVICES CONECTED (I ATTACHED AN EXAMPLE FILE).
