Hello, there is a special module to control stepper drives. 6ES7253-1AA22-0XA0
You can also program a pulstrain output(only if you have transistor output) see S7200 programming tips Tip 22. Regards, Marcjan |

I am attaching the technical details of driver I am using. The stepper motor used is bipolar (DC 4.5 Ampere,0.48 Ohm). AttachmentMotor driver.pdf (634 Downloads) |

Thanks William for pointing out that only half stepping is possible with this driver. Since I need a more shorter step, i have changed the motor which has 0.72 degree step size.By half stepping I can get an step change of 0.36 degree (enough to meet my requirement). Now the problem is with programming. I want the motor to move forward and reverse at some set speed. To bring the motor back to home position, I also want jogging in both direction. I have writtentwo programs attached herewith. There is no problem with forward and reverse movement. But I am not able to make it jog forward and reverse. I want separate switch for rotation and jogging. Please help. Hi William, I was able to run the motor both way as well as jog it using position control wizard. Its really easy. I am attaching the program so that newbees like me can work on similar applications. Thanks. AttachmentPosn wizard-CW+CCW.zip (673 Downloads) |
