Migrating from TP170B to TP177B!

Currently, I am trying to replace an TP170B with TP177B, the TP170B was configured by Protool software and I want to do the migration job to WinCC Flexible 2008. Would you please, show me where I can find some information regarding doing the migration, any manual or FAQ, I will be more than greatfull. Thank you in advance. Tomy.

Then you have WinCC flexible project of TP170B, now you can Change device to TP177B. In the Output box, you will find more information about possible problems. Best regards, Wizard

When wincc was transfering protool project to its format, i got message that my Step 7 project contains PDM elements and it cannot be transfered because on my PC i dont have PDM installed. I clicked OK. Wizard ended his job with confirmation. that migration is succesfull. I realy dont think PDM was necessary to create this project. Furthermore, when i checked in step7 manager project properties, in required software there is nothing about PDM. I compiled just migrated wincc project and there was no errors at all. I tried also second way. I saved my step 7 project with reorganisation, as it was mentioned here: https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/pdm-software-package-missing/93010/?page=0&pageSize=10 I went through migration protool-> wincc once again and i got no errors or warnings. Should i be expecting any problems when i download wincc project to TP177b panel connected with this pdm issue?

First copy the Protool project from the Simatic Manager Backup (There is option in Protool to copy project from Step 7), Because as per your thread it is clear that the the Protool project is integrated into the Step 7 backup. Migrate the extracted protool backup in WinCC Flexible, so there won't be any error or warnings about PDM.
