Modbus communication between Wincc 7.0 and PLC Wago 750-841

AEnes Posts: 76 Rating: (0)	Hi all, For a new application, I need to read data from a Wago PLC 750-841using Modbus TCP/IP. I have noticed that now version V7.0 includes Modbus TCP/IP drivers. I create a new Modbus driver and in the configuration properties I have to choose: CPU (984, Compact, Quantum, Momentum, Premium, Micro), Ip address, Port and descentraliced slave address. I am getting confuse with those parameters and I dont know which ones I have to choose to read form my Wago PLC as it´s the first time I try something like this. Can anybody shed some light on this ;) Best Regards

There's no option to choose other kinds of Modbus-capable devices but if you're lucky, one of these might just work as well for your Wago PLC. Just try. more info in ModbusTCPIP.pdf or ModbusTCPIP.chm WinCC Information System->Communication->Modbus TCP/IP try to follow this example and change CPU type if it won't work http://support.automation.siemens.com/GB/view/en/37885119 IP-address is the one from your WAGO Slave-address is the Modbus slave number from your WAGO (usually between 1-254) Attachment WinCC_Modbus.jpg (1105 Downloads)

Can anybody shed some light on this ;) Best Regards Hi AEnes, I have Done the Modbus TCP/IP Communication Between WinCC V7.0 SP2 & Third Party PLC. In that CPU = Comapct & IP Address & the Port (Right now I don't know the Port no. this wasgiven by the PLC vendor) & the Communication working ok. so Just ask for the Port No to the Wego (as I know it is fixed for the Modbus TCP/IP may be I am Wrong also)
