How to get the communication failure of the individual Modbus slaves connected to CP341. Our Customer needs it in the SCADA as alarm.

Krrish !! Posts: 73 Rating: (6)	Hello, If it is possible to program the modbus slaves, I suggest to set up a Life-beat monitoring bit as part of your communication data. You could then build up a similar logic at the master end to monitor this bit. This bit could provide you the status of the modbus link. If it is not possible to program the slaves, I think the best way to check for the healthiness of the modbus link is the ERROR bit on the modbus blocks in your program. Thanks & Regards, Krrish !!!

I am using WinCC Flexible as SCADA in my project, So I cannot go for Life Beat Monitoring. I have created a new logic for Modbus Master logic with communication failure option and it is available in this TIP.
