Modbus TCP/IP with Schneider Energy meter

Hi all,

 I am trying to communicate a IM151-8 module with Schneider Energy meter through modbus tcp/ip. Gone through the manual in that they have mentioned ID no. what is that ID no? is there any need for GSD file of energy meter?

Modbus TCP works with Open Communication Blocks on S7. GSD- or GSDML-files you only need for Profibus or Profinet.

First time i am communicating siemens with 3rd party device. In this application i need to read the value of Current,voltage, power from my energy meter. i have many questions

1) Weather i have to Make CPU as client or server?

2)Other than setting the IP address what else i have to do in 3rd party device?

3)Ordered for license, without  license just i am checking now. it shows A090 because of no license but why its not showing connection established = TRUE?

4)In Which address i will get my Current,Voltage and Power Values?

Set the ip address in 3rd pary device and pinged from laptop its ok

now i am using CPU as client  and loaded the example program. Edit the ip address in DB2 and In modbuspn write the id no.-1 and DP_Parameter = DP2  checked in Online it shows as below attached file.

1)Defined IM151-8 as client by using Siemens ex. program. IP address is 192.168.0.30

2)Set the IP address 192.168.0.1 for  3rd Party device, this is the only thing i have to do on that side 

3)For A100  checked the ip address on both side its ok.  I dont know where i have to check the port No. ?

communicated that server with MODSCAN software that is working well. after that i am trying with IM151-8 

still connection_established= True is not coming. I am confused. i dont know where i am doing mistake 

please check the attached file and guide me.

 Thanks for your help. Actually without using TCP wizard i was trying just by changing the value in DB2. as per your post set Port no.502 in tcp wizard then checked connection now connection established=TRUE.i am getting some A095 alarm i think this may be the plm with telegram type once again thanks.
