Module not detected (SM1221 8DI)

Attached please see my most uploaded image (because it fixes this kind of problem more often than anything else).

If that does not fix the problem, go to "online access" in the project tree, find your PLC under the correct network adapter, then perform the online & diagnostics function from there.  In this way, you get an unbiased "opinion" of what part numbers the PLC sees attached to it via the bus adapter, including firmware revision.

You may have a different part # that is installed, or different firmware.

There is also a PLC property related to startup which allows the PLC to accept some level of discrepancy between installed and physical/installed configuration.  You may want to review the options and perhaps choose one other than the default setting for your project.

Hi, 

The CPU 1215 DC/DC/DC (6ES7215-1AG40-0XB0) is unable to detect the module attached to it SM1221 8 DI (6ES7 221-1BF32-0XB0). 

We have tried connecting the expansion modules to another CPU & it can work fine with the other CPU. 

I have attached the diagnostic file here. Please advise if it can traced that the PLC CPU is faulty from the diagnostic file. Thank you.
