MP 377 touch booting problem

Sudheendra Advanced Member Joined: 2/20/2012 Last visit: 5/11/2023 Posts: 62 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I have a MP 377 12" touch panel and it is not booting up.The initial screen shows that the OS is about to boot and gives the message as follows... *"Starting windows CE..* *Please Wait..* *Firmware Init done.."* but it does not move ahead. I am not able to communicate to it also. I tried MPI/DP & Ethernet but found that it asks for "Device address" in prosave when I try to update OS. But again, there is no address for the device since it is not booting at all...and hence cannot establish the communication. Any help? What can I do? Thanks in advance! -Sudheendra

What settings do you have to make on an MP377 to reset the operator panel to the factory settings? Best regards, Wizard

I tried "Reset to factory settings" with MAC address and with all the steps mentioned in the manual.i.e., -Setting the PG/PC interface, entering the MAC address... But still the OS is not updating. It tries to communicate to the device and stays in "Establishing connection" mode <Screenshot attached>. I waited for atleast half an hour. I made sure the cable is working properly. I made sure the software is installed correctly. I dont see any other option. Also the LEDs near the ethernet port on the device stays lit always. It is not blinking at all. Even without connecting the cable, the LEDs are always on. So that gives me a doubt whether the device is communicating or not. I tried booting the device through USB also by adding the image file of the device to the USB. No luck. Anything else I'm missing? Regards, Sudheendra Attachment untitled.JPG (580 Downloads)

After starting the panel it should start the OS update. (But I heard more problems, sometimes after trying different times (it just start)) Best regards, Wizard

I've followed the steps provided by this guide: https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=35677293&caller=view But I'm confused with step 9, which wants me to Reboot the panel using the "OPProperties". How should I access this Properties dialog? My WinCE is not bootup!! Regards Abbasi
