MP377 and S5 948 CPU - Fault

KaptnK Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Hi, We're trying to get a MP377 19" touch panel working through Profibus (IM308C card) with a S5-155U 948 CPU. On our test rig (just CPU and IM card), it all works well. But when we try the same configuration on our production PLC, the PLC usually goes into STOP about a minute or so after the panel is switched on. The panel looks like it is working for a few seconds to a minute before the STOP. Sometimes it is a ZYK error, sometimes it's a STS error. We've tried changing I/O address for the MP377 (from P linear to Q linear), just having one tag active and some other stuff but still end up with the same problem. The only common factor we've found is that once the PLC is in STOP we have to clear the PLC and reload all the blocks. Otherwise when we try to start the PLC, at least one block is reported as missing. We're using FB158/FB159 from WinCC flex 2008 Adv SP3 on the PLC. We're at a complete loss why it won't work. We've had similar setups running on other PLCs.

KaptnK Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Attached is the I-STACK, will also post the B-STACK and the block that was interrupted. The stacks in this case were from the time the PLC stopped with ZYK (timeout). The usual OB1 time is between 100ms and 200ms and the ZYK timeout is set to 2.5s. Attachment I-STACK.gif (242 Downloads)

KaptnK Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	We've checked the values for FW240 which come from DW25 earlier and can't see how they could every be zero. DW25 is a static value that never leads to FW240 being zero. It's as if the accumulator or FW240 is set to zero just before the DO FW240 op. After making some changes to the MP377 setup (changing the size of the comms area, moving it from P linear to Q linear), the PLC stops in a different place and for a different reason. The only common symptom is that we have to clear and reload the PLC after the STOP.

KaptnK Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	We've checked all the OBxx interrupts and they all use FB38:RETTEN and FB39:LADEN calls to protect FW200+. We've also tried putting FB38/FB39 around the call to FB158 just in case that helps. All to no avail...
