need communicate KEPServerEx with CPU 6ES7 315-2eh13-0AB0 and Open Modbus TCP software

AUMAX_JJF Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Mr. Wüstenräuber, I work with Diego and need communicate KEPServerEx with CPU 6ES7 315-2eh13-0AB0 and Open Modbus TCP software. I used the driver Modbus Ethernet in the Kepwareand not work. This use for configuration the IP and port but not use of ID. Is possible your help.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello AUMAX_JJF, The ID is a Simatic internal parameter. It is the number of the connection. The communication partner is always addressed via IP-address and port number. The client establishes the connection by sending IP-address of the server and the port number, for Modbus communication normally 502. The server is only waiting for the defined port number (502)to receive. Regards, Kaulquappe

The time in on is aleatory and the error message in the parameter STATUS_MODBUS is always A090. This problem be with RSsim or KEPServerEx of Kepware. My question: I am configuring something bad in the siemens block? Regards,

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Aumax, you got the trial version of the function block. As you can see from the attached release notes, the program runs only for one hour then stops and reports error A090. Or did you buy the software? Then you haven't licensed it yet. Regards, Kaulquappe

My question: so that it works 1 hour the license is it necessary?

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Aumax, sorry, I mixed up two different trial versions. If the Modbus block has not been licensed, the communication runs, but A090 is reported cyclically. You canfind information regarding the error codesin the manual as well asin the online helpof STEP7. Regards, Kaulquappe

If you didn't insert the correct registration key, then the SF/INTF-LED is blinking, there are entries in the diagnostic buffer of th cpu and the errorcode A090 is shown. But the modbus communication works even so (without a valid license as well)! Do you get an errorcode other than A090? If not, then the configuration seems to be okay. In this case it would be the best to write a telegram traffic with Wireshark to check the reason of the communication problem. Wüstenräuber

AUMAX_JJF Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello everybody: The solution to the problem of interrupted the communication went to configure the CPU 315-2 PN/DP as Modbus Server and the driver Kepware it began to work correctly. I thank their help.
