Hi everyone, you can check the network connectivity between your PC and PLC using a Siemens Tool called PRONETA my problem was solved when I assigned IP addresses in the same network domain also I use a tool called NetSetMan to quickly change my IP settings Good luck |

You can - if you so choose - omit setting IP addresses for profinet devices in your s7-1200 project. I am not saying I recommend it other than as a quick commissioning tool - or to fix problems associated to bad customers messing around with IP addresses during the warranty period.... Configure the profinet topology in the network & devices section of the project tree. Enable the PLC as a profinet master to assign IP settings and PN name to devices connected as described in the network topology tab of the Devices / Networks part of the project tree. It is a PLC hardware configuration option that allows the PLC to assign those settings, plus each PN device configuration must check the box for the PN name is set automatically (meaning by the project configuration). Something to consider. But - be wary. If you download the project and start the plc before verifying the wiring is 100% proper, you can really mess up PN settings and introduce lots of confusion.
