Hi, In the “Delivery release SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional V11" http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/49639088), there is a readme.pdf archive. Follow there is somenotes/tips about it: Chapter 1.1 / 3.1 General notes Page 5, Notes on handling „When you insert a CPU, you may need to wait for some time if the project editor is open at the same time. This generally takes longer when you insert the first CPU in a newly created project. To be able to continue working more quickly, you should close the project editor before inserting a CPU” Tip: “project editor” in this context means: “Project Text” in the “Project tree” under the “Languages & resources” path. Page 6, Notes on SD cards “The SD cards have been formatted and initialized by Siemens for use with S7-1200 modules. This format must not be overwritten otherwise the card will no longer be accepted by the S7-1200 modules. Formatting with Windows tools is therefore not permitted. Behavior in case of open force job. Note that active force jobs will be retained even after you have loaded a new project to the SD card. This means you should first delete the active force job before you remove an SD card from the CPU and before you overwrite the card in the PC with a new project. If you use an SD card with unknown content, you should format the SD card before the next download.” TIP: meaning: If a Force command is given in a SD card and it is intend to use this SD card in a new other CPU/Application there is three possibilities to do it: 1 – Reset the force command before remove the SD card from the old CPU. OR 2 – Remove the SD card from the old CPU and delete all non-hidden files with Windows Explorer. Chapter 2.3.1 Testing with the watch table Page 27, Multiple access to the same CPU “Access to a CPU from a PG/PC is permitted only when a TIA portal is open.” Tip: probable meaning: Access to a CPU from a PG/PC is permitted only with ONE instance of TIA portal. Chapter 23.7.4 Communication Page 48, Routed Communicationwith S7-1200 "Communication from connection partners via a router is not supported. This applies in particular if you use WinAC MP or the station manager, because connections using the station manager of Runtime Advanced are always handled like routed connections." |
