Online Connection Failed

Hi There,

I'm new to using the S7-1500 so you may have to bear with me on this!!

I setup a 1511f-1pn along with some et200sp units. I started getting some errors on my f-di unit and so i decided to reset my memory card and start my project from scratch.

Now i have started trying to reload into my factory reset cpu & i am getting the below errors......

Does anyone have any ideas on anything that im obviously doing wrong?

NO!!!!!! This kind of words are not expected here, no problem.

I recommend generally start Diagnopstic with Online and check all indications at prj tree where problems are. description inside Diagnostic will show something for sure.

I had similar messages some time ago and to my shame it was simply because the SD card was still in my PC and not in the controller. So my first question: Do you have a SIMATIC memory card in the card slot of your CPU?

I do have the SD card in, but i fear i may have corrupted it! would this be the case?

Of course, a damaged memory card will cause errors. Try to repair it.

Thank you for your help so far, I have re-formatted the memory card locally on the plc screen, but I still cannot connect to the PLC. If I try to connect to the plc without the memory card inserted then it connects no issues. But if I try to connect with it fitted then I get the below message.

something isn't set correctly inside your CPU/card. Try set IP to CPU via menu because it is not clear what exactly you did with cfg. Do you have any problem with Online access? What IP has your CPU now? try that Online access establishment to see where the problem is. Simply you expect some IP write to CPU as cfg but this CPU is maybe outside of your IP range who knows...

On other side look at your settings, you have there that CPU with same IP will be checked so this is problem. Try set there other logical option, hope you understand what this means.

thanks for your reply, both the ip set @ PLC & in the program match and should normally work, i am getting the error message " the connection partner is not repsonding".

Thank you very much for all your help so far. 

just to confirm - this is a brand new PLC I have it to learn about the S7-1500, I had previously been connected to it but it appears to be an internal IT issue on our corporate network rather than anything to do with the PLC so our IT man is looking in to it as for some reason my PC is having some issues.
