veliamca Posts: 33 Rating: (2)	I create an Archive Process Tag. Linked it to the trend control. There is "No Connection To The Data Server" text. What is the problem?

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Youdid you place "Tag Logging runtime" on the startup list, right?I find that sometimes people forget about that list! If you create an I/O Field can you see changes in your tag?

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi! Sorry, but I couldn't understand exactly what you mean. If you want to create a trend, you'll need to place your tags in an archive in Tag Logging, configure your trend, and have Tag Logging be started in runtime. You've done that already, right?

See the online help for examples on how to set up the archive(s) and the trend graph(s) -- esp. see FunctionTrendControl.pdf in the documents folder. Also, do not forget to generate the server data in case you're viewing the trends on a client machine without its own project: in WinCC Explorer on the server, under "Server Data", click on "Generate".

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Oh yes, as stplanken mentioned, if you have client-server configuration, the server data must be updated too, otherwise the clientswon't be aware of the changes! To check if Tag Logging Runtime is in your startup list access Computer Properties - Startup. Best regards, Danielle

At the bottom of this toolbar there are two tabs, Standard and Controls. Click on the Controls tab which will show you a list of WinCC ActiveX Controls. Select the WinCC Online Trend Control and draw it on your screen. You can then configure this trend to point to the values stored in the Tag Logging database - On the General tab set the Data Source drop down box to Archive Tags - On the Curves tab and a pen and select the Selection button to browse your archive tags You can find a lot more information in the WinCC manaul.
