Then please try to install an new servicepack or hotfix. got to this side http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/28882233 and try this... regards manfred |

After installing the hotfix 4. I still could not perform download or OS update, same problem. Should i send the panel back to the manufacturer? |

Hi, at first, i would try to make a "Reset to factory settings" (not "os update"!). For this you need a "null modem wire" Look to this FAQ -> http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19701610 When this does not help, then you should send the panel to repair, regards, |

I also have the same problem with OP77A, What is "null modem wire". Can you please give me the configuration. |

Hello, A null modem cable is a RS232 cable with TX and RX crossed at one end. In case off op77a you have no RS232 only RS 485. Have a look at the manual for more details : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21084916 Regards, Marcjan |
