OPC UA - UDT unable to update cyclically

HI All,

I used siemens support example to transfer data from my PLC s71500 using as a OPC Server to my PC directly in to the excel. I have downloaded all the manual and the excel from siemens,

All communication are excellent for except when I use UDT datatype in the ReadStructUdt, The UDT data is only updated when I click on the button but cannot update cyclically. May I know how to accomplish this.

Also In the subscribe tab cyclic acquisition of data occurs with single tags. The problem is only with the UDT tags.

Ideas:

• Make a copy of any UDT based data you want to capture using OPC UA.  Rather than try to capture the UDT data once per button click (what button??), capture the copied data.
• Use VBA to automate button clicks
