pass data to ODK 1500s

I tried searching threads related to ODK 1500s. I couldn't find any answering my issue. If there exists any, Please direct me there.

I have: Step7 TIA V13, SIMATIC ET200SP, CPU 1515SP, ODK 1500s, VC++ Image processing software

I would like to have solution regarding:

I have an Image processing software that give me couple of integer values. I would like to take these values into TIA portal. I came to know, it could be done using odk 1500s dll. My question now is, how could I pass the values from my visual c++ project through odk 1500s dll project to TIA portal

I would be glad, If someone could help me.

Tricky question. The only way I can think of is running using Wincc for that.

Have a look at WinCC V7.2: Tools (SmartTools, User Archive, interfaces) under chapter "1.4.5.3 Integrating header files and DLLs".

You could than access your data you need to write it to a TAG. Not a very good solution, but the only one I can think of.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Reason I am interesting through ODK 1500s is, I already have interface set up with it. I would like to know, Does this work..

I would save the data obtained from my image processing software in a file(eg: text file). Could I read the values from the file using odk dll. Or kind of shared memory or named pipes to share data between 2 projects.

In order to be able to help, I need to understand what you want.

Do you want the values available in TIA portal for offline use (if yes, then I eager to ask: Why?!) or in the S7-1500 PLC, so the PLC can react to those values.

My assumption is, that you want them in the PLC.

There are several solutions for getting data into the PLC.

• OPC server 
• ProDave S7-driver to access the PLC from a PC
• LibNoDave (free, opensource) S7-driver to access the PLC from a PC
• S7.Net
• TCP or UDP raw network communication to your program.
• SQL Server
