RugbyGuy Silver Expert Joined: 1/15/2009 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 316 Rating: (40)	Hi Milad, Also make sure that the CFC that contains the PID has a Plant Heirarchy Assignment. If in component view, and you have the Details View selected, there is a column for PH Assignment. If that is blank that means your CFC is not assigned a heirarchy and the OS Compile will not generate these tags. If the CFC that has the PID does have that assigned, do you know if there are OS Tags created for this PID? Open WinCC Explorere, Go to Structure Tag, select PID (whatever PID type) and see if your PID that you are looking for has tags. If it does, then perhaps the block icon generation has issues (as stated before by another user). If you do have tags, but no Icon, reply here saying so and we can help you get your icon on your graphic/tagged.

But something appears to be off being that is not auto-generating the block icons. So we need to understand why it is broken. On the block in CFC, you have OCM possible checked and Create block icon checked? In WinCC explorer of the server project have you ran OS Project Editor (specifically the Basic Data tab where it checks your projects pdls vs the standard pdls? I would run this step (be sure to UNCHECK anything that is custom, if you have nothing customized, this should be empty then).

RugbyGuy Silver Expert Joined: 1/15/2009 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 316 Rating: (40)	Hi milad, since this window is empty, it means that all your graphic files are matching the standard files (meaning, that you have no customizations). This should make this process easier. Do you have any other devices configured (valves, motors, analog/discrete indicators) and are their block icons auto-generating? Is it only one PID that is the problem or all?
