I think you would have to write an interface then. Or direct to digital inputs? Should be just 4 inputs (for direction). I would think it works with pulses... Never thought about it to be honest .

kanan Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	Normaly pc joystick has usb port to connect to pc and need to have software to get signal from joystick and send to plc. but i do not want to use pc and should be something(signal transformer or etc.) to connect directrly//?? regards

For a serial interface you could create something but for USB you need HW and SW drivers’ a.s.o. So I fear this will not work with the SIMATIC alone. If you think about a Panel this will not work either, because for the Panel only USB Mouse, Keyboard or defined Barcode Reader are allowed... so this will not work either. How about a Panel PC or a IPC, these do have USB Interfaces and allow the installation of Drivers. If you work there with Software you create you may use the Joystick... for whatever you want to do. If you work there with Software you create you may use the Joystick... for whatever you want to do. Hello all, Within a short time there is a SIMATIC Device with USB interfaces. It's called S7-mEC and was announced at the Hannover Messe last week. I'm not sure where the USB interfaces are capable of but it could be interesting. So in this case you have a PC - there you can connect any usb device writing your own driver if necessary. You can also run current WinAC RTX on an ordinary PC or - if you want to - on a Siemens Microbox PC or Panel / Box PC ..
