PCS 7 V8.0 - Where can I find the Faceplate Designer

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	When you do a standard installation of PCS 7 V8.0 only the APL Libriary is installed, not the PCS 7 Libriary anymore. Hence APL Faceplates are not created with the Faceplate Designer, this program isn't included in the standard installation. If you like to create your own faceplates furthermore, you have to install the Faceplate Designer by your own. You can find the setup data on the PCS 7 product DVD 2/2 under "Additional_Products > PCS7FACEPLATES__V7.1+SP3 > setup". Start the installation by running the file "Setup.exe". Follow the description in the file "fpd-readme.wri". The installation contains the FaceplateDesigner, thestandard faceplates and block icons for the technological and advanced process control blocks and thetemplates for Faceplate Designer. After the installation you can find the Faceplate Designer in the WinCC Explorer. Enjoy!

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	This is correct. For APL there is no Faceplate Designer. If you like to create APL style faceplates have a look into the APL Style Guide document. It should be described there.
