Hi, When in WinCC runtime on the server, you can go to WinCC Explorer->Tools->Status of Driver Connections and check the server-AS connection status. You can see if the current PLC is connected or not. |

Well, If you have configured named connections for the connection between your OS and AS in NetPro, you will receive an error in the alarm banner when the connection is lost. Also, the objects like valves, motors will be greyed out because they cannot be monitored. A good option is to set the following option at the plant hierarchy settings: 1. Select a project in the multiproject 2. Right click->Plant Hierarchy->Settings 3. Enable the option: "Derive diagnostics screens from the plant hierarchy" and choose for: "Maintenance Station Basic" which requires no license. 4. AS compile+OS compile 5. Now the complete hardware configuration is added to the plant hierarchy with the help of an additional Diagnostics area. Because you have a basic version, you can only see a few levels like AS, but no I/O properties and modules are available. You will receive alarms and the operator will see which object is faulty during runtime.
