Hello dblevsky; Swapping out modules in runtime is described by Siemens as CiR (Configuration in Runtime). To be able to do it there are some configuration issues, and special hardware (active bus modules) to be integrated in the Profibus (DP and PA) slaves. Have a look at the following documents, they will give you an idea of the procedure and links to specific documentation: CiR manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/14044916 Hardware requirements for CiR (Configuration in Run) at SIMATIC PCS 7 V6: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/16520111 Which modules and their firmware versions are released for PCS 7 and how can you upgrade them? http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/39709060 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hi dblevky, the module are you asking for is a Safety module. I don't think it possible to replace it without put the CPU in STOP mode (not with you PCS7 version) HUP to Replace 80 mm wide SM 336 F-AI and SM 326 F-DO Modules in PCS 7 V7.0 + SP2/SP3 here a link for all Safety related module, but nothing says you can change Safety module in runtime with your PCS7 version https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&objid=29338195&treeLang=en regards |
