Picture tree of clients

Dear PCS7 users and Experts.

Could someone explain (manuals and post didn't help sorry) the steps below:

I've changed in my ES picture tree (add some new containers with pics) my @Area buttons PDL is user defined (not standard) so in ES everything is fine working no problem. 

Tried to download with picture tree update nothing except containers changed in a chaotic manner but there was no good result like in ES machine

OS Project editor (I think this is the way for clients) but i'm not clear with it

in ES is Ok but to share to the clients ?

As I understand right

1) I've changed Picture tree in my ES station

2) I've changed Area buttons (as I need) 

3) to download to OS Server I need to compile (picture tree checkbox empty )

is that right?

then for clients to share what is the steps?  (normally you just compile and download to OS and other clients updates by Server data)

and what about text libraries (translated) now I'm loading it translation is ok mesaages etc. BUT Area names and faceplates in EN or ???? when I change in WinCC exp. in computer properties - parameters - default language.

previously I exported Text Library - then all AS' one by one (user text and Symbol text).

could you please advice What is the steps to change Area names and facePlate names to RU.

strange behavior of picture trees when you perform download!

I need to understand and at the same time collect different ways of downloading changes done with picture tree and pictures it self.

Main issue is this: I made needed changes in ES station - compiled it - started online - IS PERFECT !!!

I spent one hole day trying to solve it but NOTHING  

All manuals says as one that all changes ALSO server data transferred when you just compile and download the server. it is not correct .... may be is a bug. (PCS7 v8.1)

I tried to generate server data manually - generated ok - download - the same no changes.

---- last thing I did NOT perform is assignment of ES to OS1  or  OS1 to ES ???

I don't understand really what is that for AND do I need to download ES to OS1 ???  (maybe this is the reason of all ???)

PLEASE I'm asking you to share ideas how you perform this action....

to make it clear -- ES station finished - works perfectly as I need -- what are the next steps to synchronize it with OS1 ???

Hi,

Yes correct,

The clients do have a picture tree. The clients receive the server package data from the OS server containing the pictures (and more data). 

You can adjust the picture tree on the clients after the server data has been generated. On the client you can set the order of pictures you want to show or not to show.

When you have a client with more than one server package (in case of several multiprojects), you will receive those pictures as well...

It can get messed up though, like in case when you delete the server package data on the client from one of the projects.

You have to run OS project editor to activate your changes to the picture tree.

I rechecked all   and it seems that I have to download all ES to OS (meaning that I have to assign OS to ES) 

How do you think experts this could work out with my issue or not

(actually I'm afraid to mess it up)??
