PID_Compact V2.2 on S7-1200 and PLCSIM...doesn't work?

The s7-1200 is the basic PLC entry, so simulation is more basic. You want more functionality, the Portal Professional version should help you out. Perhaps PLCSim Advanced allows it for s7-1200? Have you investigated? Ehsanbazgir It sounds ridiculous. this issue started from 2015 and now it is 2022 and still nothing change and still can't simulate the PID of S71200 with PLCSIM!!!

Purchase a training kit with the PLC, software, and license and you can have the PLC at your desk and simulate away knowing everything will work exactly as expected - unless you run out of memory and purchase a low-end s7-1200 kit. For the simulation, you need to change the versions of the PID block. @ 0_Einstein sometimes you want to check the operation of the program logic, e.g. in a train, at the airport, you will not run a physical PLC there. HugoBAF_2 Joined: 11/7/2023 Last visit: 9/19/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	We are now by the end of 2023 and still same issue in V17. I seriously doubt this will ever get fixed. For now PLCSim Advanced only emulates 1500 series so it is not an option. The only 2 options I see is to change the revision of the PID block to V1.x or "upgrade" the CPU to a 1500 series. None of these options are trully useful if you do really want to test a software running for a 1200 CPU with v2.x PID...
