PID nightmare

pago06 Posts: 36 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I'm needing urgent help on workings with PIDs (OB250/251) o S5-135 CPU928b I've to make some changes on a PLC thas has PID implemented but i have no documentation and software has no comments! Does someone know where i can find a good tutorial or someting else? The process that i have to implement includes the next on controllers & devices: - one PID1 controller that has an analog input as entrance and feeds another PID2 - Another PID2 that is feeded by PID1 or another DWord value must have the possibility to work by its own or manual way. This PID2 Output must control a Pump velocity. - A Pump that must have a manual or automatic operation mode, where when in manual the velocity is set manualy by user. Does someone have some idea how to do this! Some example code i would be gratefull. I've no experience with S5 and with a deadline and no doc or commente in the software i should call this NIGHTMARE. Hi Gonçalves, In the handbook of the CPU 928B the OB251is described and the datablock that is used also, it is very easy, it is the simplest PID I have ever seen but it works fine. As of page6-65 chapter 6.11 the hole datablock is described. Handbook AG S5-135U Programming guide

pago06 Posts: 36 Rating: (1)	I've been reading that manual but...i'm bit confused maybe caused by the stress i'm on under. I've to do implement this until this monday. The only thing 'm trying to do is to replicate some PID that are already developed (once again withou any type os docs or comments)on PLC but i still not fully understand what i'm doing. I hate whe i do not full control the matter, but i have no time and my dead line is to short. Could you help me! with some code or discussing the code that i have? I only have till monday to develop and only on monday i can test these functions. If they go wrong i'm dead. When i was talking about documenation I refered to the implemented software documentation. Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 12/23/2024 Posts: 2705 Rating: (319)	Hi Emir, For OB251 there is NO need for COM REG, COM REG is for the R64 structur, not for OB251.... COM REG uses FB102 and DB2 for programming the PID, for OB251 you only need one DB and the call of the OB251.
