Plc 1515 with two subnets

sevekeno Regular Member Joined: 4/11/2014 Last visit: 9/1/2021 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello I want to connect to a Tp1500 comfort screen through a subnet of the plc 1515 2-PN. The screen is connected to the port X1 of the plc with IP address 192.168.148.11, the plc has the IP 192.168.148.10 and the port X2 of PLC with IP 192.168.150.10. On the PC I have the IP within the range 192.168.150.252. The communication with PLC is correct but when I give the button to simulate the screen there is no communication. I have to configure some connection or this architecture is not possible to simulate the screen? Thanks and best regards!

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 12/20/2024 Posts: 22482 Rating: (3039)	Hello, check the setting for PG/PC Interface in windows Control Panel, here you must configure the networkadapter which is connected to PLC for the accesspoint S7ONLINE. Then the other thing: The Panel is connected to another Subnet with another IP Range. The target adress of PLC is stored in the HMI Connection. But if you are connected with PC to the other Networkinterface of the PLC you can't reach the IP which is configured in the panel. Regards Christoph

The configuration of the communication I think is the correct one because I communicate with the PLC (attached image). I can make a transfer to the screen through the PLC but when I run the simulation of the screen the data is not updated. Is simulation possible from my pc? Regards! Murof Platinum Member Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 12/19/2024 Posts: 14458 Rating: (1806)	Hello sevekeno You have two situations which you cannot handle in one project: - Runitme on the Panel: here you have a direct communication inside the subnet and this is a normal thing witout problems. - Simulation in your Engineering Station the Engineering PC is in another Subnet. So if you start the simulation the HMI Runtime tries to connect the PLC that is set in the connection in your HMI Project. but this is not possible because its in another Subnet as your Engineering PC. There are scenarios with routing connectinos and so on... but this will only work if you change the connection. so you have to change it every time you want to simulate. So a comfortable way of doing is not possible. But a Project transfer to the HMI with S7-routing is possible (link). Bye Murof

I opened the post because I would swear that at some point I could connect the simulation and see in time the update of the data with the tia portal v13. Now I am working with version 15. The subnet mask on the screen is 255.255.252.0, I understand so that I can connect to the 2 networks .... But with your answers it seems clear that it is not possible to connect online to the screen so I will choose to put a router. Greetings and many thanks!
