DineshA Advanced Member Joined: 2/27/2012 Last visit: 5/19/2024 Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Dear Masters, We will be working on the project having Analog inputs - 30nos(all will communicate through 4- 20 mA), Analog outputs - 10no(4-20mA signals given to field devices-VFD speed), Digital inputs - 20 nos and Digital outputs - 60 no (pnematic valves and VFD signals) Can you please suggest me the best configuration??

HiDineshA To make a HW configuration using IO count only is not a good choice. Kindly have a look to this thread. s7-300 hardware selection

Hassan Raza Posts: 102 Rating: (2)	Dear Dinesh, Hope you will be fine. Before going for a CPU. Consider the following steps. 1. Notice the working and loading memory of cpu. 2. Notice the number of IMs that can be connected to a particular cpu. 3. Notice the number of FBs, FCs and DBs you can download in a particular CPU. 4. Keep in view the future expansions too.

Make sure you know what you want. The User Requirement Specification will specify what you need to achieve. So after the HW selection completed(based on whatever selection guide you use) review the selected solution to match your client needs. Cheers
