Hello Ruaidhri; As you are beginning your learning curve on S7 PLCs, it would be best if you kept away from functions designed for more experienced programmers, and start with the basics. I suggest you look at these S7-300 tutorials provided by Siemens: https://www.automation.siemens.com/mcms/sce/en/advanced_training/training_material/download_training_material/Pages/Default.aspx Modules A to E (in the right-hand column) should help you understand PLC instructions, variables, and programming blocks so you can apply them to your original project. You would understand what is meant by a Load/Transfer (or Move) instruction, or ADD_I instructions. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction im going through those files you outlined. My problem however is that this need's to be done for my college project and i have no real insightful help bar here. The attached pictures are showing the set up of the two networks of the dp coupler and the addresses of the et200m's data that i want transferred. I know to ome one who has done this before it will seem very easy but unfortunately as stated i have fairly small exposure time to this package. Regards Attachmentpictures.zip (158 Downloads) |
