Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	Actually maintenance is also regulated by your country laws. So i would rather check what's written there. As for PLCs - people provided their thoughts above, i can add check if LEDs are on, clean of dust, checking program checksum (to define if someone changed it), test power supply voltages, test relays work and so on. As i said it's heavily depends on requirements of your country/industry...

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	Sure, sorry i made a common words only Ok, generally you take components of some manufacturer (Siemens in our case) and make some technological system. This system should fulfill requirements, provided by national/industry requirements. For example, if system has optical links you should check it's dB every year. Or - if system has current-measuring chains it should contain special clamps, that allow short-circuiting. System requirements are wider, then component requirements - they say how whole system should work. BUT, when you write maintenance instruction you write it for the SYSTEM. If you need particular part of system - PLC for example - you should also take part of system requirements, not only PLC's maintenance requirements. From my experience after you do it you will cover all manufacturer requirements fully

Hello Joentj Taking care of all plc panel dustfree, and maintaining there software backup and records and update the documents like emloby number order nuber installation date any repaced that records.once in a year to be check quaterly etc...... regards algudkar
