problem of simatic logon1.3 sp1

sagar1 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Dear all, i had installed simatic logon 1.3 sp1for the pcs7 6.1 sp2 ,simatic log on is not responding when i open wincc run time, is simatic log on 1.3 sp1 is compatible with pcs 6.1 sp2 Regards Sagar1

YES, Simatic Logon v1.3 is fully compatible with PCS7 v6.1 sp1. Problem has to be in other position, could you give more information about your configuration and trouble are you getting? Regards

In the following entry you can read: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23234216 SIMATIC WinCC (when using SIMATIC Logon together with SIMATIC WinCC) In combination with SIMATIC Logon V1.3 + SP1 you require at least SIMATIC WinCC V6.0 + SP3 incl. HF1 or a later version. Earlier versions of SIMATIC WinCC are not compatible with this version of SIMATIC Logon. Therefore you can use it because in PCS7 V6.1 SP2 WinCCV6.0 + SP3a + HF17 is included and therefore higher than SIMATIC WinCC V6.0 + SP3 incl. HF1. But if you read the PCS7 readme in chapter "3 Software Components on the PCS7 Toolset DVD V6.1 + SP2 ..." you can read the only Simatic Logon V1.2 + SP1 + HF5 is tested and therefore released with PCS7. Therefore I would choose the possibility of the PCS7 readme or ask my presales consultant for a release of PCS7 V6.1 SP2 and SIMATIC Logon V1.3 + SP1 to besure. Cumu

Hi sagar1,

I downloaded

SIMATIC Logon V1.3 + SP1 Update Available for Downloading

and read readme file (in attachement), it says in chapter 4:

4 Software Requirements
4.1 Operating Environment

....

Using SIMATIC Logon together with WinCC

SIMATIC Logon V1.3 incl. SP1 requires at least WinCC V6.0 including SP3 including HF1 or a newer version.

from manual should be works with PCS7 v6.0SP2 too.
