Problem using DO Module for S7-300

SB1986M Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello, i am having some issues regarding a DO Relais Module für a S7-300. Module: 322-5HF00-0AB0 I would like to control the coil of some valves. I use TIA Portal. In the devices tab I did add the correct module. It says it is using Adress Byte 4. But if I try to set A4.0 or A4.1 nothing happens. (I wired everything .... both 24V and GND Contacts are connected. I Put 24V on Pin 3,7,11, 15 etc... and the 24V connectors for my coil on Pins 5,9,13,17 etc...) Using the Diagnostics Utility I get an error! But I dont know why: Differences were found between the loaded configuration and the offline project. The online and offline module configuration data are different. Order number: --- Configured order numbers: 6ES7 322-5HF00-0AB0 Any Ideas? Thanks!

Did you checked that the bridges between (3&4), (7&8), (11&12),...etc are connected?

SB1986M Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello Ayman, thanks for your response. I did not connect the bridges. I left them open. But i managed to solve the problem by "accident". I Had to compile the whole Project including everything regarding the hardware. Than Download everything to the S7 after rebooting it. Now it works fine.... But I have a new problem. In Network 1 I am setting Output A4.0. In the next network I want to set it too. But it is not working....i.e. If Switch on E136.0 is 1 A4.0 isSet in Network 1. If Switch E136.1 A4.0 has to be set too. It always works in the second network. Very difficult to explain. I hope you get what i mean...am i not allowed to use an output twice? (They are never set at the same time!!!) I forgot to mention that i can see in monitor mode that the output is being set correctly in both networks.

But i managed to solve the problem by "accident". I Had to compile the whole Project including everything regarding the hardware. Than Download everything to the S7 after rebooting it. U should not use the same output address twice.always the last scan will be set so as per your requirement if E136.1 in off condition output result is low only.

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	Dear SB1986M, What DS SURESH KUMAR said is exactly right. You can't use same output in the logic again & again for different conditions. Because as per PLC scan cycle, it always make actual result ON as per last output scan only. So if you have same situation then you can do one thing. You just make memory bits on for all the individual cases. Then make parallel contacts for all memory bits & final result of that parallel contact will be your actual output address.

HelloDS SURESH KUMAR, Great to know that your HW is working. About outputs, If you repeated the outputs in several networks, the software will work (I mean here, it won't give you a compilation errors or warnings). But you should first understand how it's work. Write Process Image Output (PIO). Read Process Image Inputs (PII) Execute User Program in OB1, and interupt OBs according to their priorities. So imagin that you wrote in your program to set a certain bit or DO, and then (in the same scan cycle) you wrote in the program another condition to set the same bit or DO. If the first condition is happen, the bit will be set And if the second condition is not happen, the bit will be reset in the same scan cycle too. And as the scan cycle is normally very short (milli-seconds), so you won't be able to see the transition between set and reset status of the bit. Most likely, we do not like to repeat outputs, coils in the software to avoid these type of bugs, But also in some cases, we need to repeat the coils (may be markers), and in certain cases, we need to set a marker during a period of scan cycle, then reset it again. And in these very special cases, the order of networks became very much important. I hope that I could explained my point of view well. Hope this helps.

This the first part we should know how it is work. this is called basic scanning cycle of PLC. But it is not so easy to understand, once you face some problem then only we will understand this scannig procedure. Thanks for your explanation

RKM Posts: 93 Rating: (13)	You can put all conditions that set the bit in ORING of one another and put a pulse coil infront of every condition. so that ones generated conditionnever set the output multiple times. Same for reset.
